Changing Your Name?
Changing your name is easy, right? Well, it is if you know the steps to take. Getting a marriage license with your new last name doesn't automatically mean you've changed it. Here are some steps to take in order for a smooth transition from maiden name to married:

• Get your marriage license
• Contact the Social Security Administration & get a new card
• Contact the license bureau & change your driver's license
• Inform your employer
• Contact your bank & change your accounts
• Contact your credit card companies
• Contact your insurance companies (home, auto, life)
• Inform your landlord or mortgage company
• Inform your doctor's offices
• Inform your sorority/alumni association
• Contact your voter registration office
